Insured Patients
Payments for Out-patients
Please ensure that you check with you insurance company before your visit to outpatients to check:
- Whether there is an excess on your policy as you will be liable to pay this
- Whether there is a restriction to claims that result in inpatient care
- Whether there is a monetary limit for outpatient treatment
Please be sure to bring all of your insurance details with you when you attend for your appointment, including any pre-authorisation or claim reference details.
If you cannot provide full insurance details or if your insurance does not cover the full cost of your outpatient treatment, we will ask you to pay any hospital charges on the day of your visit.
When you attend The Spencer Wing for an out-patient appointment, your consultant will send you a bill for the consultation fee and the hospital will charge you separately for any tests and treatment carried out.
